Hi, my name is Alex. I'm a police officer from Arizona. I have a story from about a month ago. Flashback about 2 months ago. A few of my friends were investigating an abandoned apartment complex. We had seen some trashy looking gangsters go in there and running out. We thought it was some rival turf or some kind of crack den.
My friend and a few other officers went to the top of a duplex right in front of the complex, and stayed there for about three hours every other day. One specific officer had thought they saw someone lurking inside the complex and jumping around. They were about to leave the case, until one strange night. We got a call from a guy, who said someone was trying to kill him. He told the dispatcher he was in that very complex. We rode over there and found a pool of blood in front of the doors.
We opened the door, and someone with a knife stabbed a fellow officer. We shot the thug dead. Meanwhile, a few other officers used one of the cars to get the injured one to safety. Leaving us with just the van. Few of us thought that all 12 of us should go inside, and split up. Me and a few other officers voted against that. But in the end, it was 8-4.
I had to investigate the west hall and the parking building. I armed myself with a Spectre M4, Beretta 3032 Tomcat, a taser, and a flashlight. I decided to go and get it over with. So, I began walking. But what I saw next, froze me solid.
I saw a wall, and there was someone peering at me behind it. I said, "Who the hell are you?" It slowy hid behind the wall. I ran over and found nothing. I thought there might be some gansters in the complex, so I loaded my guns. Then, I made myself into the west halls.
I began looking around the halls. It was so goddamn creepy. Some doors were broken and occasionally I thought I saw blood. I then heard what sounded like knocking. I quickly turned around and saw nothing. I yelled, "Who's there?" expecting a response.
It then turned from knocking, to scratching. A few moments later, it stopped. I continued, mainly because I was scared out of my mind. I found my way to the second floor. I walked for a few minutes and what I heard next made me piss myself. In apartment A-3, I heard glass breaking, and a faint heavy breathing sound. I put my back against the wall, and opened the door.
I turned my flashlight on and found nothing. I gave a sigh of relief. But this didn't last for long. I heard a scream, followed by the sound of running. I quickly shut and locked the door. The person on the outside was trying to kick open the door.
I backed up and fired my Beretta 4 times and heard a scream, followed by a faint crying sound. I yelled, "Last chance, back the fuck up or I fire again!" The crying turned to a laugh which got fainter, and fainter. I heard a loud stomping sound next. I had to get out.
I used my radio to tell my friend Bill about what happened. When he responded, he said, "I heard gunshots, what the hell happened?" "I don't know." I absent mindedly said. He said, "Alright, I'll tell...Woah...AH SHI..." The conversation ended.
I looked through the bullet holes, and saw a thing with a red face and crooked teeth notice me, and smile at me. I almost shit myself. I had to find a way to get to the third floor. That's when I noticed that there was a balcony behind me. I saw a pipe connected to the wall outside, and used that to get to the third floors fire exit staircase. I looked around, and saw the second apartment building.
In one of the windows, I saw a man in a gray suit. I blinked, and he was gone. I tried conteacting the other guys, but my radio wouldn't connect. I made myself into the third floor. I looked around for a few minutes yelling Bill's name. Then I saw it.
A bloody man in a black coat, naked waist down. No genitals. He screeched and tackled me. I used my taser and tased him. I ran and saw a wide window with the glass broken. I looked behind me and the man was about 15 yards behind me and was pacing back and forth while mumbling. I made a jump for it and landed on a balcony.
I then jumped off and landed on an old mattress. I ran past the parking building. Fuck that. I saw five of the officers in the police van. "Get the hell in!" one said. We then drove back to the station.
They said that their radios were being interfered with. They had lost contact with the other officers. We all spent the night at the station. A few days later, we did some research on the complex. We found files disappearances int he town as far back as 1988. The creepy part is that 45% of the dissappearances were located in the neighborhood that the complex was in.
And the thing is, that neighborhood has the lowest crime rate. I heard rumors that the complex would be demolished. I sure as hell hope.
